In May, 2016,
Mr. Raimar Orlovsky,
Mr. Matthew Hunter, and
Mr.
Nikolous Römish came back to Tokyo on the Berliner
Philharmonic Orchestra Tour. Although they had had a busy schedule, they made a
time to read the Tamagawa students' messages and also took a time to
give their messages for the Tamagawa students.
This time, a concert series over 5 evenings offered all of 9 Beethoven's symphonies. This
Beethoven cycles have a long history, but previous
one started from Berlin in October, 2015, then, in Paris, in Wien, and in NewYork in November, 2015. And finally here in
Tokyo in May, 2016.
In reply to a question "Isn't it hard to play different Beethoven's symphonies every evening
for 5 days?", they asnswered, "It is not easy, but we are filled with
energy and we feel great." Since music is not one-way, we let out our
energy through music, but we also gain energy from the
audience."
Due to their tight schedue, they couldn't come to Tamagawa this time, but they
will come back to Tamagawa in Novemebr, 2017 when the Berlin Philharmonic
Orchestra will come back to Tokyo on their concert tour again. They are
looking forward to seeing the Tamagawa students again.
Messages from Raimar-sensei, Matthew-sensei, and Niko-sensei
