FAQ

Does Tamagawa University provide transportation to and from the airport?
No, Tamagawa University does not provide transportation. Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation between the airport, accommodation, and Tamagawa University.

Does Tamagawa University provide accommodation during the program?
Tamagawa will reserve a room for each participant at a nearby hotel under the following conditions.

Room type: Non-smoking single room.
Check-in: July 29
Check-out: August 15 (17 nights)
Further details will be provided as soon as they become available.

For those who wish to arrange their own housing may declare at the time of application. If you have made your own accommodation arrangements, please report your accommodation information to
Tamagawa University by e-mail <satama@tamagawa.ac.jp> before the start of the program.
Is there a possibility I will not be able to participate in the program even if I sign up?
Yes. If the number of applicants exceeds the maximum capacity, you may not be accepted into the program.
I am a part-time student. Can I apply for the program?
Yes, part-time students are eligible to apply as long as they are officially enrolled at one of Tamagwa University’s partner universities and can provide an official transcript or equivalent document confirming their student status..
If I need a visa to participate in this program, will Tamagawa University help me obtain one?
Yes. For students who require a visa to enter Japan, Tamagawa can provide the necessary documents for the visa application. Those documents will be issued only after full payment of the program fee has been received.
Can I receive any credits for this program?
Participants will receive a Certificate at the Closing Ceremony. Tamagawa University will issue a Grade Report detailing the grading system and total contact hours of the program. The Grade Report will be sent to the participants’ home universities as well as directly to the participants via e-mail within one month of the program ends.
Please note that Tamagawa University does not award academic credits for this program. Therefore, if participants wish to receive credits, they should consult with their home universities to determine whether credit can be granted for this program.
Do I need to take a physical examination and submit a medical certificate to Tamagawa University before participating in the program?
A medical examination is not required. However, please make sure to declare your current health condition in the online application form.
Do I need to purchase travel insurance covering the period of my stay in Japan?
Yes. All participants are required to purchase travel insurance before departing from their home country.
