Publications

First published in 2015 as The Center for English as a Lingua Franca Journal, CELF Forum has served as an annual forum for CELF faculty members to present research and studies of educational practices, as well as reports on research and teaching practices (FD Reports) by full-time CELF faculty members. The papers are concise and practitioner-oriented, reflecting research and pedagogy at CELF, and are available through the Tamagawa University Academic Repository. Until 2020, the publication was titled The Center for English as a Lingua Franca Journal. In 2021, following CELF’s assumption of responsibility for the open-access journal Englishes in Practice, published by Sciendo, it was renamed Center for English as a Lingua Franca Forum. As of the end of the 2025 academic year, the publication of research and studies of educational practice has been consolidated into Englishes in Practice. From the 2026 academic year onward, CELF Forum will continue to publish reports on research and teaching practices (FD Reports) by full-time CELF faculty members.
