研究テーマ

My research explores how people learn and use English in international and multicultural environments. I am especially interested in how study abroad experiences, communication with people from different cultures, and ideas about “correct” English influence students’ confidence, identity, and language learning.
私の研究では、国際的・多文化的な環境で、人々がどのように英語を学び、使うのかを探っています。特に、留学経験や異文化交流、「正しい英語」に対する考え方が、学生の自信やアイデンティティ、英語学習にどのような影響を与えるのかに関心があります。

My classes and research help students develop practical English communication, critical thinking, and intercultural skills. These abilities are useful for careers in education, international business, tourism, and global communication, while also supporting further academic study and lifelong learning.
私の担当科目や研究は、実践的な英語力、批判的思考力、異文化理解力を育てます。これらの力は、教育、国際ビジネス、観光、国際交流など幅広い進路につながり、将来の学びにも役立ちます。

学びの特徴（英語の学び方）

授業で大切にしていること

I aim to create a friendly and active classroom where students feel comfortable using English. My classes help students improve communication, think critically, and understand different cultures while connecting English to real-life situations, especially in tourism and international business settings.
学生が安心して英語を使える、明るく参加しやすい授業を大切にしています。授業では、コミュニケーション力、批判的思考力、異文化理解を育て、特に観光や国際的な場面で英語を実際に活用できる力を身につけます。

英語をどう学べば伸びるか

Improving English requires regular and active use of the language. I encourage students to speak confidently without worrying too much about mistakes, because communication is the most important step in learning. Reading, listening, and learning new vocabulary every day also help build language skills over time. In addition, connecting English study to personal interests, such as travel, music, culture, or future careers, can increase motivation and make learning more enjoyable and meaningful.
英語力を伸ばすためには、英語を継続的に積極的に使うことが大切です。私は、間違いを恐れずに自信を持って話すことを学生に勧めています。毎日の読書やリスニング、語彙学習も力を伸ばす助けになります。また、旅行や音楽、文化、将来の仕事など、自分の興味と英語学習を結びつけることで、学習意欲が高まり、より楽しく意味のある学びにつながります。
