研究テーマ

My research explores how students can use technology for language learning purposes. I am also interested in helping students improve English reading skills and vocabulary acquisition.

将来とのつながり

Students need to prepare for a professional career heavily dependent on digital literacies and the ability to collaborate with peers using multiple technological mediums. In addition, I believe students should be informed “citizens of the world” by keeping pace with world events and issues. It’s not enough to just know about world events, but to also have an opinion.

学びの特徴（英語の学び方）

授業で大切にしていること

I value cooperation and effort. It is crucial that students become comfortable using technology for their learning goals. Technology can be used to collaborate both in and outside of the classroom, therefore I stress digital literacies. Finally, I stress that the answer isn’t always the goal, but the efforts made to reach those goals.

英語をどう学べば伸びるか

Read, read, and read. By actively participating in the class discussions, students will slowly acquire speaking & listening skills, but it is only through extensive & intensive reading that students will see an improvement in their English abilities. Vocabulary acquisition is always at the core of mastering English.

Learning is often a struggle and you must dedicate yourself to the effort but remember this: it is far easier to learn something when you are having fun & enjoying the process.
