My name is Christine Quist, and I am the Chair of the Horticulture Department at Vancouver Island University (VIU). I am delighted to extend my warmest greetings as you plan to embark on an enriching educational journey in Canada.

It is the horticulture instructional team’s passion and privilege to cultivate knowledge and nurture growth in the field of horticulture and environmental sustainability with you. In the horticulture classes you can expect interesting and fun learning in the classroom, hands-on learning activities in labs and unique field trip experiences.

My name is Michiko Nakatani and I am the program coordinator at Tamagawa Nanaimo Campus. For the past 18 years, I have hosted more than 1,000 students from the College of Agriculture of Tamagawa University. It is always a great pleasure to meet and get to know Tamagawa University students in Canada. I learn a lot from them.
I am looking forward to having more students on Tamagawa Nanaimo Campus and sharing ideas with them.

TNCでの勤務歴19年。今まで 1,000人以上の農学部生を受け入れてきました。学生達と出会い、知り合うことは、私にとって大きな喜びです。いつも学生達から数多くのことを学んでいます。
これからも、ナナイモに到着する学生との出会い、そして様々な意見交換することを楽しみにしています。

Hello! I’m Akane.
玉川学園のみなさん、こんにちは。2023年5月からナナイモ校地にて勤務をしています、阿部紅音です。
好きなことは食べることと読書、得意なことは野球とソフトボールです。愛媛県生まれ、愛媛県育ちですが、「新しいことに挑戦してみたい」と思い、カナダにやってきました。
ナナイモでの暮らしはとても楽しく、面白い発見や出会いがたくさんあります。その中で、英語だけに限らず、学生時代に他の教科で学習したこととのつながりを実感することも多いです。
きっと皆さんが玉川で日々学んでいることが、ここでさらにブラッシュアップされると思います。ぜひナナイモに来てください！皆さんの学習・活動のお手伝いができれば嬉しいです。
